DataTee – Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 December 2025These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DataTee mobile application, web analytics platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using DataTee, you agree to be bound by these Terms.If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.1. Who We Are

You must be at least 13 years old to use DataTee.By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:You meet the minimum age requirement; and
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.DataTee is not intended for children under the age of 13.3. Description of the Service
DataTee is a golf performance tracking and analytics platform that allows users to:Manually record golf shots and round data;
View performance statistics and trends; and
Access advanced analytics via a web-based dashboard (paid feature).The Service includes:A free mobile application; and
A paid subscription for advanced web analytics.4. Beta Status
DataTee is currently offered as a beta service.This means:Features may change, be added, or removed without notice;
Performance may be interrupted or experimental; and
Bugs or inaccuracies may occur.You acknowledge that you are using the Service at your own risk during this beta phase.5. Accounts
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account.You are responsible for:Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials; and
All activity that occurs under your account.We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.6. Subscriptions and Payment
6.1 Free and Paid Features
The mobile app is currently available at no cost.
Advanced web analytics features require a paid monthly subscription.
6.2 Billing
Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and features are described on the DataTee website and within the app.
In-app subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchases and managed via RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management platform.
We do not directly process or store your payment card details.
6.3 Apple In-App Purchases
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.7. Data Ownership and Use
7.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of the golf data you submit to DataTee, including shot data, round data, and performance metrics.
7.2 License to DataTee
By using the Service, you grant DataTee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:Process, analyze, and display your data; and
Use aggregated and anonymized data for analytics, benchmarking, research, and product improvement.
7.3 Data Retention
Certain data, including golf shot and performance data, may be retained even after account termination for:Analytics continuity;
Aggregated statistical analysis; and
Legal, operational, or backup purposes.8. Analytics Disclaimer
DataTee provides statistical analysis and performance insights only.You acknowledge that:DataTee does not provide coaching, medical, or professional advice;
Analytics are based on user-entered data and statistical models;
No guarantees are made regarding performance improvement or accuracy; and
You are solely responsible for how you interpret and use the analytics.9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:Use the Service for unlawful purposes;
Attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the Service;
Upload malicious code or interfere with system integrity; or
Misuse the Service in a way that harms DataTee or other users.10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, branding, and analytics methodologies, are owned by or licensed to DataTee.You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.11. Termination
You may stop using DataTee at any time.We may suspend or terminate your access if:You breach these Terms; or
Continued use poses legal or operational risk.Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by nature should survive termination.12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:DataTee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data, performance, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.Your use of DataTee is at your own risk.13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DataTee, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of:Your use of the Service; or
Your violation of these Terms.14. Apple App Store Disclaimer
If you access DataTee via an Apple device:These Terms are between you and DataTee, not Apple;
Apple has no responsibility for the Service;
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support;
Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the Service.You acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict of law principles.16. Changes to These Terms
